First Stop : Bar.B.Q Plaza

For the first food review, the 6 of us went to Bar.B.Q plaza at Sunway Pyramid for lunch.
Bar.B.Q plaza is located at the opposite of McDonald's and next to Bread Story. On a weekday, the crowd was less compared to what we usually see on weekends. It’s always crowded ! On that particular day, half of the tables were empty, and so we easily got a place to sit.

The menu was given once we sat down ,and we ordered the Family Deluxe Set that contains a plate full of thinly-sliced pork, and another plate filled with vegetables like cabbages, fish meat, chicken, prawns and some other seafood products.

For drinks, Rachel and I both ordered Ribena with Lemon and 3-flavoured assam juice respectively.
Water is first added at the side of the saucer as a kind of soup. And then the gas was turned on by the efficient waiter. When the food arrived, we were already very hungry so we started placing all sorts of food onto the saucer and barbequed them. Cabbages were put into the soup to be boiled.

We were each served with a bowl of rice to be eaten with the barbequed meat and vegetables. When one side of the meat on the saucer was cooked, each of us flipped the meat so that the other side can be cooked too. Everyone was busy turning the meat over to allow the meat to be cooked thoroughly. It didn’t take long for the meat to be cooked. Soon everyone was grabbing food with our chopsticks and putting them into our mouths. A sweet sauce should be accompanied by the barbequed meat for a better taste. 2 bottles filled with cilipadi and chopped garlic was prepared at each table and we could choose them according to our preferences.

Overall, the food tasted really yummy especially the meat because they were really fresh. And the sauce just makes the food taste better altogether. The vegetables were fresh and the seafood products tasted good too. The fish noodles were really good too as they were chewy and tasty. These fish noodles are actually noodle-like fishballs. Cabbages can be also refilled, for FREE !

The price of the food was quite reasonable, as we all had a great serving of meat, vegetables, seafood and rice. Somehow it feels quite like a balanced diet to me. Overall, we had a very good time having lunch together and chatting about random stuffs.

It was a good eat. However, please be aware that after coming out from the shop, you might smell like you have just been barbequed ! This is because of all the smoke that’s floating around the restaurant. No big deal. You could always bring some perfume to be sprayed on after a meal !

And the price for our hearty meal is as shown in the picture:
